Arbus has started work installing vehicle restraint systems as part of the M1 Junction 19 Improvement Scheme.
Our work installing vehicle restraint systems as part of the M1 Junction 19 Improvement Scheme is under way. Contracted by Skanska, our crews are busy on the project, including on the new bridge that will carry the M1 over the new M6-to-A14 link.
The M1 Junction 19 Improvement Scheme began in January 2014 and it is aimed at relieving congestion at the junction and improving journey reliability, improving road safety, separating local traffic from long-distance traffic and improving conditions for cyclists, pedestrians and horse riders. The first part of the scheme opened to traffic in late September and the second part is due to be completed in autumn 2016.
We've completed a number of major safety fencings projects this year, including for the North Bersted Relief Road in West Sussex and at Heathrow Terminals 4 and 5, and we’re proud to add the M1 Junction 19 Improvement Scheme to this list.
